Emerging from the sewers of Gothenburg’s underground Metal/HC punk scene comes FILTH. The band was deformed in winter 2022 as a duo with Ismael on guitar and Per on drums.
The first songs were spawned aiming for a rabid, putrid and vicious sound capturing the spirit of uncompromised old school Death Metal. The line up was completed with Sebba on guitar/bass in the fall of 2023.
Taking influences from old cult acts like Autopsy, Maggoty Corpse, Grotesque & the Finish Death Metal scene and new bands like Dead Congregation & Cerebral Rot.
The trio entered the studio in Göteborg in winter 2024 and recorded their first album titled “Time to Rot” released via Me Saco Un Ojo Records at the end of July.
Filth is currently finishing writing songs for the following LP that will be recorded at No Master’s voice Studios in late January and planned to be released by Me Saco Un Ojo Records early next summer just on time for Kill-Town Death Fest.
Joining forces with Tomáš Mitura (Sněť/Vole) as a live vocalist, who is also taking care of the exquisite and putrid artwork of the band, and Fredrik P. (Entrenched) on bass, Filth will take the stage at Kill-Town for the first time with a full line up ready to bring you down into sonic decay, vile guitars and primitive blasting drum annihilation.
This appearance will be both the new Album release show and the live premiere for the new material.
