Montreal’s Phobocosm will return to Europe in 2026 in support of their forthcoming album, “Gateway”, which was released on November 28th, 2025 through Dark Descent Records. The album is both a continuation and an expansion of the band’s sound, an unrelenting exploration of atmosphere, dissonance, and decay that cements their place within the dark depths of death metal.
Since the release of “Deprived, Bringer of Drought”, and “Foreordained”, Phobocosm has cultivated a sound rooted in suffocating darkness and tension, where crushing weight and bleak atmosphere coexist in constant unease. Their sound fuses dissonance, weight, and slow-burning tension into an atmosphere of utter desolation, a reflection of existential collapse rendered through sound.
In the wake of “Foreordained”, Phobocosm completed a 2024 European tour alongside Fuoco Fatuo, including appearances at Kill-Town Death Fest London and Black Waves Festival (Jarocin, Poland), as well as a performance at Decibel Metal & Beer Festival in Denver, Colorado. The band will now embark on a European tour in 2026, where they will deliver a live experience of suffocating atmosphere and crushing intensity.
