Dusk

United States · Dark Symphonies

Established in 1993 in the sub-zero, overcast landscape of northen Wisconsin, DUSK acts as a sonic mirror of the bleak hopelessness of their surroundings. Reflecting the vast emptiness of frozen marshlands and dense woods, DUSK presents churning, down-tempo rhythms and oppressive, crushing guitars accented by dreary synth and echoed clean guitar textures. Accompanied at times by somber, haunting female vocals, DUSK invokes an atmospheric and mournful aural experience rarely heard on U.S. soil. Back in the early ‘90s, the North American death-doom scene was neither diverse nor rich. The bands that made this music in this period can be counted on one hand, but the first among them would be Avernus, Morgion, Winter and Dusk” -NO CLEAN SINGING, 2024. Dusk has had great pleasure playing with the following bands: Megadeth, Cannibal Corpse, Death, Cynic, Type O Negative, Voivod, Malevolent Creation, Six Feet Under, Sinister, Morgue, Afterlife, Gutted, Master, Broken Hope, Paralysis, Morbid Saint, Morta Skuld, Bleed/Crawl, Viogression, Godflesh, Satyricon, Evoken, Broken Hope, The Ruins of Beverast, Kataklysm, Fear Factory, Spectral Voice and many more.
