After the near decade of silence that followed their debut album ‘Paramnesia’ (Blood Harvest, Nuclear Winter Records), Australia’s ALTARS violently awoke in 2022 with its follow-up full-length ‘Ascetic Reflection’ (Everlasting Spew). Featuring members of Ignivomous, Convulsing, and StarGazer, the pedigree from which they dwell is supreme. With relentless compositions that are both dissonant and numbing, bludgeoning and meditative, alien but all-too-human, ALTARS deal in death metal beyond the norm while expelling a sense of severe frustration and fraying sanity. Appearing live in Europe for the first time, ALTARS is joined by Dan Nahum (Bleakwood) on drums.
